Rick Herrero

Retired President, Herrero Contractors, Inc.

Rick is currently is a Board Member of the SF Bay Area Positive Coaching Alliance. Founded within the Stanford Athletic Department in 1998, PCA is a national organization dedicated to developing “ Better Athletes, Better People” through youth sports.

He has been a Board Member of the Pacific Vision Foundation (PVF), Department of Ophthalmology, and California Pacific Medical Center since 1991 is on the Executive Committee and chaired the Development Committee for 13 years; PVF is a San Francisco organization dedicated to preventing blindness.

Mr. Herrero is the retired President of San Francisco based commercial builder Herrero Contractors; founded by his father in 1955 the company serves corporate, educational, healthcare and institutional clients in the Bay Area and Sacramento. The firm employees 150 people in a mix of union field workers and project management staff. Long term clients include Kaiser, Sutter Health, The Presidio Trust, UCSF, Alta Bates Medical Center, Mercy Housing and Cavallo Point. Notable schools include University High, Branson, Drew and Sacred Heart in Atherton and San Francisco. In later years Mr. Herrero focused on expanding the business and vision of the company, resulting in industry recognition as a leader in Lean project delivery, safety and VDC/BIM.

Rick received his B.S. degree from Cal Poly SLO, and is a 32 year golf member at the Olympic Club. Rick and his wife, Suzanne, reside in Corte Madera and have two boys in college.
